Recap: AI for Good Hackathon Spring 2026

200 builders, 48 hours, 34 projects, and a winning team tackling maternal health in rural areas.

Last month's hackathon drew participants from 18 countries, resulting in 34 completed projects across four tracks: Health, Education, Climate, and Accessibility. The energy was electric.

Winning Project: MamaAlert

MamaAlert uses a lightweight SMS-based model to identify pre-eclampsia risk in rural clinics with no internet connectivity. The team of four — all first-time hackathon participants — walked away with $5,000 and a fast-track to our fellowship program.

All project repos are open-source and linked from our GitHub organisation. We hope you build on them.
